About This Programme

The School Goodie Bag programme is a concerted effort towards helping children in need. The programme focuses on providing essential food rations to underprivileged school students and their families. This initiative supports them during a critical stage of their lives when proper nutrition is crucial for both physical and mental development.

Every month, these 'Goodie Bags' containing healthful food items from low GI vermicelli and corn to UHT milk, fresh eggs and oatmeal, are distributed to underprivileged children with the help of our volunteers. This carefully curated selection not only ensures a balanced diet but also considers specific dietary requirements.

By addressing the issue of food insecurity, this programme has a profound impact on both underprivileged children's health and education and provides much-needed support to lower-income families.

Helping Children in Need

The programme supplements the meals of less fortunate children from disadvantaged backgrounds and their families and reduces their financial burden. As the School Goodie Bags are funded purely through cash donations, Food from the Heart is able to select healthier food options to provide better nutrition to these developing young minds.

We understand that those who seek help through our programmes are trying their best to cope and that the promise of their next meal is important to them. As such, we work hard to ensure the reliable and consistent provision of our food rations at the same time every month without fail to give them the mental security that they need.
