The Management
Food from the Heart is steered by its board members, each recognised for their expertise in various fields. Their collective experience and networks have contributed to the charity's sustainable growth since its establishment in 2003.
Ronald Stride
Ronald Stride is the Chairman of Food from the Heart. He holds several board of director positions at companies and non-profit organisations. Mr Stride is also currently Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Afghanistan International Bank. He was President of the American Association of Singapore for the past five years. He and his wife, Janet, have lived in Singapore for the past 25 years. Mr Stride spent most of his career at Booz and Company, the management consultancy, where he retired as a senior partner in 2000. He holds a BA degree from Providence College, USA.

Steven Luk
Steven Luk is a Chartered Accountant and Accredited Tax Advisor, and the founder of Coleads Business Consultants Pte Ltd. He has assisted many clients in resolving tax issues with the tax authorities, advising on corporate restructuring and acted as an expert witness in his capacity as an accountant and tax consultant.
Concurrently, he serves as an independent director for the Singapore subsidiary of several multinational corporations. Prior to founding his boutique company, he had worked with one of the Big 4 accounting firms in Singapore.


Steven Luk
Chong Ik Wei
Chong Ik Wei is a Partner and Asia Managing Director of Clyde & Co, an international law firm with over 70 offices globally. His main areas of practice are transportation, insurance, energy, and natural resources, with a particular focus on commercial and investment disputes and arbitrations involving China and the ASEAN region. Ik Wei is recommended and recognised by various legal directories, including Legal 500 Asia Pacific and Chambers Asia Pacific, as one of the leading lawyers for transportation, insurance, and dispute resolution work.
Ik Wei is a Senior Accredited Specialist in Maritime and Shipping Law appointed by the Singapore Academy of Law, and he sits on the Singapore International Arbitration Centre Users’ Council. He is also an arbitrator of the China Maritime Arbitration Commission, the Hainan International Arbitration Court, the Wuhan Arbitration Commission, and the Asian International Arbitration Centre.
Ik Wei is a member of the Advisory Board of the Singapore Management University School of Law. He also serves on the Board of Governors of Raffles Institution, Singapore’s premier educational institution.

Gwendolyn Lim
Gwendolyn Lim is a partner and the head of Bridgespan's Southeast Asia office, based in Singapore.
She has more than 20 years of consulting experience with Bain & Company spanning South-East Asia, North Asia, and the US. While at Bain, Gwen led the customer practice for more than eight years and was an active member of the retail and financial services teams. She has worked closely with multinational and local clients on topics such as customer transformations, corporate and business-unit strategy, performance turnarounds, and due diligence. Some of her past projects include helping major department stores in SEA to identify, retain, and drive share-of-wallet amongst their most loyal customers, redesigning the customer experience for one of the largest Asian banks around fraud, and articulating the process and playbook around corporate mergers and acquisitions for an industrials conglomerate.
In the social impact space, Gwen has worked with a leading Singaporean university to outline its five-year strategy across academics, research, and entrepreneurship as well as tackling its fundraising and endowment needs. Additionally, she has led a project with a major field-building NGO in the Philippines to identify sectors that would generate the largest number of high-impact entrepreneurs within the next three to five years.
In her personal capacity, Gwen has previously aided the Community Foundation of Singapore to articulate its three-year strategic plan–identifying target donor segments and delineating criteria to identify high-potential charitable organizations.

Jonathan Ong
Driven by a strong passion for building construction and a keen entrepreneurial mindset, Jonathan Ong pursued higher education in Civil Engineering and Commerce to integrate technical expertise with business insight.
In his current role at Lian Beng Group, he leads the family office and oversees both strategic initiatives and operations. Committed to integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into business operations, he actively invests in enterprises that advance environmentally sustainable solutions, including renewable energy and sustainable products.
Jonathan is deeply committed to giving back to the community. He serves as an active Grassroots Leader and patron of the Community Club Management Committee for Bukit Batok SMC. His passion for architecture and cuisine underscores his dedication to creating environments that promote sustainable living and to supporting causes that ensure equitable access to essential resources for the elderly and underserved communities, empowering them to live with dignity. Through both professional commitments and personal initiatives, Jonathan aspires to make a lasting social and environmental impact while inspiring future generations to champion sustainable living.

Dato' Kuek Andy, PBM
Dato' Kuek Andy PBM, is the founder, Chairman and CEO of the Grand Columbia Group of Companies. Its interests include the Finance and banking, Property Development, Insurance, and Manufacturing industries. He sits on various government and non-government boards, including the Patron of the Citizens Consultative Committee, Chairman of the Senior Advisory Council of the School, President of the Bentley Owners Club Singapore, Honorary Chairman of Cheng Hong, Honorary Chairman of Hokkien Kong Huay in Singapore, and Vice President of the Guo Association in Singapore.
He is also a great believer in doing things right the first time, assisting those in need, and giving space and advice so others can live up to their full potential.


Dato' Kuek Andy, PBM
Mike Booker
Mike Booker is an Advisory Partner at Bain & Company and a founding member of the firm’s Singapore office. In his current role, he is primarily focused on talent management and the professional development of Bain’s APAC Partner team. Beyond Bain, Mike is an active angel investor and advisor to tech-enabled start-ups working across sectors and markets, especially in Southeast Asia.
Over the course of his career at Bain, Mike held multiple leadership and governance roles, including serving as a Senior Partner, Client Head, and leader of the firm’s Consumer Products and Retail Practices in APAC. He has led scale business transformations for multinationals in Asia, Asian companies, and Singapore-based organisations – including Social Enterprises. Through his work, Mike has a deep understanding of Southeast Asian consumers and shoppers. In addition to his client work, Mike is a published author, a frequent contributor to industry publications, and a regular speaker at regional and global conferences, where he shares insights on business transformation, growth strategies, and leadership development.

Phua Boon Huat
Phua Boon Huat is the Co-Founder and Director of P9 Capital Pte Ltd, a single-family office focused on global multi-asset class investments, bringing an investor’s perspective on capital allocation, scalability and long-term value creation and he concurrently serves in various boards in private and public listed companies.
He served as President of the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC) from 2020 to 2024, where he guided the industry through a period of change while advancing key priorities in internationalisation, sustainability and business innovation.
Prior to this, he held senior leadership roles at HTL International Holding Pte Ltd, including Director (Europe), where he was responsible for commercial operations across European markets.

Chin Chelliah Bottinelli is a Director at Imagine Capital, a private family office engaged in asset, property and corporate management. An accomplished entrepreneur and former veteran of the creative industry, she is the founder of Asiatique Collections, a home furnishing boutique renowned for its distinctive blend of contemporary design with Asian and European influences. Chin is married to Oliviero Bottinelli, who is in the watch industry.

Dr Knut Unger
Dr Knut Unger was born in 1970. He studied law at the Universities of Jena and Freiburg in Germany, where he also completed his PhD in environmental liability law. From 1999 to 2000, he worked for the FARE – Project of the European Community in Estonia, supporting the development of the judicial systems of the reform countries in Eastern Europe.
Dr Unger has been a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Singapore since 2001, where he is currently a Partner of Luther LLP, the Singaporean branch of an internationally operating, multidisciplinary German law firm. He is a member of many professional organisations, including the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
Knut primarily advises on European investments in Southeast Asia, the drawing up and negotiation of joint venture agreements, M&A, and group and distribution structures. He focuses on documenting international transactions and transnational tax configurations. In the role of an “external legal department”, Knut is a member of the supervisory boards of several German and Austrian investments in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Robin C. Lee
Robin C. Lee has over 30 years of experience in business and financial management, with a proven track record of success across a wide range of sectors, including FMCG, pharmaceutical, healthcare, lifestyle, automobile, and construction. He brings extensive expertise in business transformation, development, marketing, and logistics management.
Prior to joining Food from the Heart, Robin held senior management positions in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Thailand, working with organisations like Li & Fung Group, Toys”R”Us Asia, Sime Darby Group, Piaggio Asia Pacific, Rentokil Initial Asia, Bok Seng Group, and Tat Hong Holdings. He holds a B.Sc in Business Administration (Management & Marketing) from the University of Oregon's Charles H. Lundquist College of Business.
In addition to his impressive career, Robin has a passion for giving back to the community. He has been actively involved in grassroots work since the 90s and has received recognition for his dedication and service, with awards from the Ministry of Education and the People's Association. Robin C. Lee combines a strong background in business with a heart for service.
