Every August, our National Day Food Donation Drive brings the community together at Community Shop @ Boon Lay. On Saturday, 15 August, the Shop was transformed into a lively drop-off point, with families, corporate groups and grocery deliveries arriving steadily from 9 am with food donations.
We were also thrilled to welcome Singapore Pools to the event to commemorate the start of their three-year support towards this Shop, which will help lower-income families in Boon Lay better cope with daily living expenses and access nutritious food with dignity. Beginning in August this year, Singapore Pools will contribute $300,000 towards food supplies at the Community Shop @ Boon Lay, which currently serves over 1,300 lower-income households.
We are thrilled to share that we collected over 29,000 food items this year! We couldn’t have done it without you! Your generosity truly made a difference. Thank you so much for nourishing lives with us ❤️
