Starting 2025 Strong
Every year we start the year by giving with our CNY Food Donation Drive, rallying the community together to support the less-fortunate and help them have a nourishing Chinese New Year.
On 18th January, we hosted our CNY Food Donation Drive (Our first food drive of 2025!) at our Community Shop @ Punggol. From 9am-6pm, generous individuals and deliveries streamed in with donations. We had a humble goal of just 5,000 food items, but we were blown away by your support and raised 6,158 food items, worth close to $25,000! How apt is it that we start 2025 by raising close to $25,000 - we could not have done this without your support!
We were honoured to have received the support from so many, including Minister of State, Home Affairs and the Ministry of Social and Family Development, Ms Sun Xueling, who took time out of her busy Saturday to deliver an entire cage of donations - and even say hi to our beneficiaries and volunteers!
It is not Chinese New Year without a God of Fortune!
We enjoyed a visit from a friendly God of Fortune (who was actually our regular volunteer, Herman) and received lucky sweet treats!
It was a really eventful day, with many special guests!
Mediacorp Artiste Zhang Zetong and his fanclub joined us to support our food drive, bringing overflowing donations that could not even fit on our tables!
Throughout the day, individual donors and deliveries came by with multiple bags of donations.
Some even rallied together as neighbours to pool a whole car's worth of donations!
Our deepest gratitude to everyone who donated, volunteered, supported and started the year with us at our CNY Food Donation Drive! Thank you for helping us ensure that families in need will have a well-nourished Chinese New Year ❤️
