Toy Buffet

About Toy Buffet

Toy Buffet is one of Food from the Heart’s annual signature events. This one-day carnival treats about 3,000 underprivileged children to a day of fun games,  yummy food, and most importantly, toys they can choose and bring home with!

Initiated in 2004, Toy Buffet runs on the donation of new and preloved toys, which enables us to pool together a vast selection of toys - close to 10,000 in 2023! - gift-wrapped, for the children to choose. The purpose of the event is to deliver a message of hope and love. Toys spark creativity, and more importantly, they are made for play - something every child loves to do! With the Toy Buffet, Food from the Heart seeks to show underprivileged children that they too are special.

The 2024 edition of our annual carnival took place on November 8 at Nanyang Technological University. Themed "Monstrous Mayhem: Brave the Unknown!", NTU's Lee Kong Chian Lecture Theatre came alive with monster-themed fun, delighting all the children who attended.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we raised close to 16,000 toys - both pre-loved and brand new! Each toy was beautifully gift-wrapped and paired with a handwritten message by the toy donors. The remainings toys were later shared with children under the care of welfare homes who were unable to attend.

We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support to help bring smiles to the children. Click here to find out more about Toy Buffet 2024!

Since its inception in 2004, the Toy Buffet has grown tremendously. This growth is a powerful testimony of our spirit of community and shared responsibility as part of our social compact. It also demonstrates Food from the Heart’s unwavering commitment to support our children from lower-income families.
